I will be taking a book order this Friday, October 22, for students who wish to have their own copy of the rest of the novels for this class. Students should bring me their money (cash please) in an envelope with their name and which book(s) they wish to purchase. I will not have change so please bring the exact amount. I will be ordering Silas Marner ($4.00), Lord of the Flies ($10.00), and A Separate Peace ($9.00). I get free shipping so there is no extra cost to you. The most important book for you to order would be Silas Marner because I have so few of those for check out.

2nd 6 weeks
It's October and the start of a new six weeks. Plan ahead with your grades this six weeks by staying on top of your assignments and keeping up with your business. We will have three major grades this six weeks: A Lesson Before Dying selected response exam, A Lesson Before Dying Great Works card, and the average score of your turnitin.com ALDB Discussion questions. If you would like extra credit, then you may write a Scholastic writing entry to be due by October 15th. For more details on this, please see me before or after school. This Scholastic extra credit will NOT replace a missing test grade. I will NOT be dropping any test grades this six weeks. The Scholastic extra credit will count as an EXTRA test grade (if you do the extra credit, then you will have four grades rather than three).
