If you could save only one precious possession of yours from being destroyed or left behind, what would you save? Write a short paragraph identifying the item and telling why it is valuable to you.
The one possession that I would save from being destroyed is my Dodge Charger. I would save this item, because it is better than anything else I own. The appearance of the car is aggressive and domineering, which represents me. I had to sacrifice extraneous purchases so that I could own the Charger. The very first day that the car was purchased, it took us on a 400 mile long trip, proving itself to be worthy enough to become a member of our family. The car adds to the quality of life, and it will serve me as my escape pod when the Mayan calender comes to an end.
ReplyDeleteAhh, Rida. :) I can tell you and I are going to get along fine.
ReplyDeleteIf I could save one possession from being destroyed, it would be my photo album. I would save it, because it holds my life. It has pictures of me as a baby with my mom holding me and pictures of family and friends. My photo album shows the progression of my life as well as my family members who have passed away. It reminds me of my loving family, and of my life before I could remember. I have had my photo album since I was seven years old when my mother gave it to me and I have valued it ever since.
ReplyDeleteColleen Harmon(sorry I had to use my moms email)
ReplyDeleteIf i was only able to save one item of mine, I would save my Bible. I chose my Bible because it has all the answers to all the questions I could ever have. It is my map to life it leads me down the right paths when I'm faced down a dark road. Over time the prophets wrote down the words of the Bible but it was through the Holy Spirit they were told what to write, so as i read my Bible I'm inspired because I no that these words are love letters from God that were written down so when the time came that I would need them they would always be there.
Autumn Casto ( Dad's email) The possession that I would save is my memory box. It has all of my favorite memories in it for example my first gray hair, and my favorite coins. This is the treasure that I can look back at great old memories. I would take it with me because there is so much memories that I might forget. But with the memory box I can always relook in the box and remember those happy days.
ReplyDeleteIf everything of mine was being destroyed, the one thing i'd be most crushed to lose is my Grandpa Renteria's necklace. Growing up,I spent alot of time with my granparents at their old run down house and last year when my grandpa lost to a battle with cancer,i was given his necklace. My grandpa's necklace is sacred to me and it was given to me for a purpose. I've only worn his chain once in my life, and i dont intend on wearing it too often but i know that its something that will always be special to me because I will not see my deeply missed grandpa until i meet with him again in heaven.
ReplyDeleteif i had to save one thing, it would be my truck. It has alot of my things already in it and i dont know what i would do if i didn't have my truck. I believe that it is also a symbol of my freedom. It symbolizes my personality because it is big, loud and performs well in strenuous situations.
ReplyDeleteTruthfully, I cannot think of a single thing that I would save in a tragic accident. The people around me are the only things that truely mean the world to me. Objects can be replaced and hold nothing but sentimental value, which does mean alot, but you will always have memories whether or not you have what the memory came from. Materials are nothing special, as long as I have the ones that I love, nohing else matters.

If i had to save one thing from being destroyed, it would be my Bible. I would save my Bible because im a christian and i believe God is always there for me. It also is answer for all my questions.
ReplyDeleteIf I could save one of my possessions I would save my puppy Jackson. i would save him because i love him and i would need a special companion to help me with the loss of all my belongings. I would also like to have someone i care about to join me on my journey of homelessness. His cuteness would also help me get sympathy for a child and his puppy, which would help pay for meals and such. He may also attract a rich benefactor who would allow us to live in his beach house in the Hamptons
ReplyDeleteHey! It's Mariah Pool
ReplyDeleteIf all of my possessions were being destroyed, the one thing i would save is Froggie. Froggie is my stuffed animal that i've had since i was about 4 years old. I know, i know, i'm like a little baby. I still sleep with him every night. Unlike a a lot of people in my life, he is always there for me no matter what, and he means the world to me!
if i could keep a single one of my possessions i would keep my puppy Jackson because i would need a companion to help me cope with the loss of all other belongings. Also i love him to much not to let him stay. i would love to have him join me on my journey of homelessness so i stay sane. I believe his cuteness would appeal to a rich benefactor who would allow us to live in his beach, in the Hamptons. That is why i would keep my puppy.
ReplyDeleteIf I only had one choice, I would save my collection of Precious Moments Growing In Grace porcelain figurines. I have seventeen figurines, from a stork figurine to a fifteen-year old, and dancer figurine. These don't have very much symbolic value, other than that they make me think of my family, because many of my closest family members contributed to this collection over the years, and they make me think of happy birthdays and years of my life. They also happen to be my only real collection and pretty.
ReplyDeleteIf I could save one possesion of mine it would be my Gypsy MC Gold vest . I would save them because the Gpysy's are my everything . when I'm having a bad day or I'm feeling down I look at my colors ( my vest) and I remember all the good times all the new friends, the smiles, laughs, other Jr.Member and when I think about those I can't help but smile .I can say that my colors ( my vest) literally mean the world to me . Cause those days I feel like crawling underneath a rock or falling off the face of the earth, those colors remind me that I will be missed and that somewhere out there , no matter what , someone is always there for me =) .
ReplyDeleteOne of my precious possessions I would save would be my grandma!:) She is my life! i don't know what i would do with out her. She has taken care of me almost my entire life. She is so amazing. She always puts up with me when ever i make her mad on purpose. She is always buying me a lot of things when ever she can.(:
ReplyDeleteIf i could only keep one thing i think i'd have to go with a computer. Computers keep the world connected. They have so many functions and uses. Almost everything is run by computers these days and keep something like that is a good idea in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteIf i could only save one precious possession i would save the first drawing i made my freshman year because it was something i never thought of drawing until the art teacher gave it to us as an assignment and it took a lot of hard work and patience and it is important because it was a challenge and i overcame it.
ReplyDeleteWell Mrs.Jones I really didnt want a twitter.. ah its pointless but since its a grade! The possesion i would save is my family.. is that a possesion? Well i would save them because they mean the world to me.Without them i would cry.. then die.(:
ReplyDeleteif i could only save one of my prized posessions i think itd be my music collection. im actually putting new music on my ipod as im writing this. this is because music is my life i dont know what id do without it. ever since i could remember music has been something i have been around and if i didnt have a single cd, ipod or any other device i would go crazy.
ReplyDeleteIf i could save one of my prized possesion from being left behind or destroyed it would be Smudge! Smudge is my stuffed animal/dog my dad gave me when i moved from chicago to baytown. I was only 3yrs old then and 15yrs old still holding on to it like i'm a baby unsprung from a pacifier. Since i was little Smudge symbolized love from my family i felt safe with him and heavens knows when i'll finally get over the stuffed animal i guess he brings out the child in me and shows even though i'm older i still have fears of growing up and being on my own. sincerly, qianachanel<3 PS: if you ever watched Men In Black with actor Will Smith then you've seen smudge cause he is the stuffed version of the talking dog in the movie. hey hey i know that the dog's name is "G" in the movie but give me a break i was 3 Smudge was the best thing i could come up with.
ReplyDeleteMuahbby - Can you tell me your name?
ReplyDeletecerenityknighton - very beautiful story. Nice simile. Um, who are you?
ReplyDeleteIf I could save one possession from being left behind, I would save my little puppy. I've only had her since the beginning of July but, I still love her like she is part of the family. She gives me joy as I see her running around being wild and playful. There is no way I could leave her behind.
ReplyDeletenutral hitsugaya - please identify yourself. :)
ReplyDeleteits forrest ivey. i just forgot my login stuff :P
ReplyDeleteOne Possesion I would save if I lost everything else would definitely be my Bible. Because of my beliefs, the Bible is an amazing piece of literature written by God. Reading the Bible helps me through any storm. It reassures me that everything will be alright.
ReplyDelete-KeeLynn
id save my picture of me and my grandfather, taken when i was about 3. its my prized possesion, and it reminds me of when he was alive, and how he always made me feel "big". He is now gone, but with that picture, he will always be with me.(:
ReplyDeleteIf I could save any possession it would be my family. They have loved me for 15 years (I hope...) so I figure I owe them. And besides, I love them more than any other possession that I have. And I am not elmadee I am Michael Rodriguez.
ReplyDeleteI seriously cannot believe no body has said this yet...
ReplyDeletei would save my phone if there was a tradgedy and everything was lost.I dont just say this cause i want to be texting all the time but all of the people i love and need to talk to are on there. My sister lives in Wyoming and if i couldnt talk to her i dont know what i would do!
I cannot beleive no one has said this one yet...
ReplyDeleteif there was a tradgedy i would most defanitely save my phone, not because i have to be texting at all times. But because all the people i love and want to talk to are on my phone and i dont have the oppurtunity to see them every day.My siste live in Wyoming and if i couldnt talk to her i dont know what i would do!I also have a friend who like to send me bible verses so he can still hook me up with my Jesus :).
Picking one possesion out of so many really is a challenge. But, if I had to decide I guess It be the photo album that my mom has made for me reminding me of all the good times I ever had. From the most embarrasing moments in life that gives you some humility, to times when an event just brings your family closer than they ever were before. Just the thought and the memories that were captivated in a picture rejogs youre memory of the forgotten but never lost. So if all else fails i at least want something that would warm my heart when im filled with despair. To make me think that there is still a hope left in life to create new memories that were as warm as the ones in the past.
ReplyDeleteIf i could only save one item from a fire, it would have to be my Star-Caster Fender guitar. I would save this item, because anytime i am bored, i play it, it would help me get money, and i could entertain friends. i could sell it for money, or start a band to buy a new house. This guitar is what got me into playing in the first place, and it is my very first one.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose one thing from being destroyed it would have to be my dog. My dog was given to me by my father which I see every 8 years. Being daddy's little girl and seeing eachother for two weeks every eight years is very upsetting and hard but having the dog around makes me feel happy and also reminds me that I have a great dad! I wouldn't let go of the dog for anything because that's the ONLY thing that I have from my dad during the time we're apart.
ReplyDeleteIf i was to save one precious possession of mines, I would save my love ones because they mean everything to me.They are like my closest friends they are my everything. They are the people i confine in and trust the most, with out them i will be strayed away and lost and i no that they are always there to protect me in whatever i do.....this is SHENA ANTOINE
ReplyDeleteIf I could save anything it would be the "blanky" I've had since I was born. The reason why is it's been with me throughout my entire life. I still keep it in my room. Whenever I feel down I just take it out. For every trip I traveled I've always taken it with me. This "blanky" has been like a part of me always. Many memories are stored in that blanky. It's like my personal memory album, without the pictures.
ReplyDeleteThis is Sirena from your 3rd period.
Of the many worthless and precious items i possess, the one possession i would save is a coin given to me by my uncle. The coin is not worth anything, nor will it ever be, but i keep it with me as a symbol of hope. My uncle never graduated high schoo and nover got a college degree. His life seemed to be going nowhere until he moved in with my family. During my uncles time spent in our house, he recieved a high school diploma and a college degree from Lee College. before he left for his job in wyoming he gave me a coin and ive cherished ever since. The reason i would save this coin is because it is a constant reminder that, no matter how life may seem, there is always hope for new begginings and better endings.
ReplyDeleteIf I were in a situation where I could only choose one possession to save, I would save my dog, Bella. I wouldn't have to worry about her battery dying, or being bored. She is funny and loves to cuddle, so I definately not have to worry about being lonely or bored.

If I could save one thing it would be my family. They help me through everything i am struggling with when times are tough and celebrate with me when i accomplish something good. My family has shaped who I am today and if I did not have their support i do not know what would happen. My family is what keeps me fighting to accomplish my goals and they would do anything to see me succeed.

If I had to choose one belonging, it would be my clown doll, Jack. I’ve had him since I was born and he is my most prized possession and if anything ever happened to him I would be completely devastated. I remember the first time I went to a haunted house. I took Jack with me so I wouldn’t be scared. As I went through, on my daddy’s shoulders, I held him close and I felt completely safe. So if I had to go through a tragic event in which I lose all of my possessions, I would feel so much safer if I had him with me.
ReplyDeleteIf I could save one of my possessions it would be my digital camara. It stores lots of my memories and good times I've spent with my family. I have had my digital camera since i was probably 13 my grandma gave it to me before she passed away so it means the world to me.
ReplyDeleteif i could save one thing i think it would be my family. my family means the world to me and i don't know what i would do with out them. honestly i don't think i could live life without them.

The one thing I would save from being destroyed is my Ipod touch. My whole life is on there. it has pictures, memories, notes, contacts and my information. I used it in almost everything I do. I work really hard to get buy it. I'm my work payed off to getting something I use and like.
ReplyDeleteIf i could only save one thing in a tragic accident it would be my scrap book. I would save this because it has some old pictures from times all but forgotten, some scraps of old newspaper that are important to me, but most of it has a bunch of old birthday cards that were sent to me from my dad. They're important to me because me and my dad lost contact a couple of years ago, i don't understand why, and the cards just represent a time when he still cared about me... He was usually a day late, but it's the thought that still makes me smile.

ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose one precious possession from being destroyed I would probably choose my Bible. I would choose my Bible because through everything I would go through the Word would always help me. God's words and stories in the Bible are really the only thing I would need. Everything else could be replaced because possessions are just possessions but without God I would have nothing.
If i had to save only one thing from being destroyed it would have to be my paintball gun. The reason i would choose this is because my paintball gun means so much to me and I can honsetly say I love the sport and would like to pursue it for a long time. It brings me, my friends and family closer togeather and tests the strengths of our relation ships on how far we would go for eachother. I also think that it teaches me respect, courage, and honesty which are really huge virtues in my book.
ReplyDeleteIf i had to choose one possession from being destroyed it would have to be my family because without my family i would be nothing and they mean the world to me. My family is the only thing that keeps me going the extra mile and teaches me to make good decisions in life. My family just makes me happy when i see them because i know they love me for who i am.
ReplyDeleteIf i had to choose something of mine, that has great value, it would be my aquamarine diamond necklace. It was given to me, on my 12th birthday, when my real father actual contacted me, after ten years of silence. This is very valuable because its the one thing that i have, that actual came with something other than price.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to save one item, it would be a small box of items that belonged to my grandma. In the box is the fabric that she and I was going to use to make me a quilt, a bottle of her perfume, the last birthday card I got from her, and one of her rings. Each item holds a special meaning, value, and memory of my grandma.
ReplyDeleteIf i could save one thing it would be the only family picture i have left that has my dad in it. I would save it because its the only thing i have left of him. I have not seen or talked to my dad in a little more then a year and i miss him so that would be the one thing i would save and not leave behind. =]
ReplyDeleteIf I had to save one item from being destroyed or left behind, I would save my "lucky" coin. When I was younger I spent the majority of my summers in San Antonio with my maternal grandparents. My grandfather took me to almost every kid-friendly museum he could find, and had as much fun as I did. One particular museum he took me to was at the army base of Fort Sam Houston (my grandfather was retired Army personnel). The museum was and still is the United States Army Medical Department Museum and there my grandfather bought me my "Women's Heritage " coin. Part of the reason why this coin is so precious to me, is because my grandfather valued two things, education and the army, and the coin is a symbol of both. It's a small reminder of the courage and the values I strive to maintain. The other part, is that it is a reminder of the great man my grandfather was. Almost two years ago, my grandfather lost his fight with cancer and everyday this coin reminds me that even though he is no longer here with me, every action I take and every goal I try to reach has his encouragement behind it and always will. This coin has never actually brought me "luck", but I always have it with me with every major step I take in life. If I were to lose my coin, in any way, shape or form, I would feel that one of the last memories of my grandfather I still have, is gone as well.

ReplyDeleteHmm. One thing only? Okay, I will probably get teased for this but, I would keep my teddy bear named Wuzzy. I know I sound like a five year old but, I would keep that because anything else I could easily replace by buying it again. But, I've had that bear since the fourth grade and I wouldn't be able to replace it! So yeah. That is the one thing I would save.
The one thing i would save from being destroyed is my phone. Its very valuable to me because it has all my life in there. It serves me for when im in an emergancy or for when i wanna talk to somebody. I would be very bored witout it, and very lost.----Clarissa Garcia 10.1
ReplyDeleteI would save my ipod touch because i use it every day for many different tasks. its how i hear about every thing going on in the world and its one way i communicate with people.
ReplyDeleteIf I could only choose one thing to save from being destroyed it would be my iPod touch. My music means the world to me and I don't know where I would be without it. It has my ENTIRE music collection and it has an internet connection to Wi-Fi, which is like my lifeline to all things Adam Lambert!
ReplyDeleteIf I could only save one possession, it would be my Bible. If my house burned down, I would be devistated and and the Bible is my source of comfort. It has all the instructions, encouragement, and love that I will ever need. It is also God's love letter to me. If I didn't have my faith, I would have nothing else. All the possessions in the world could not fill up the God shaped whole in my heart. He is the only one that could fill it because He made that void. Nothing in this world is promised. Not tomorrow, not your family being alive ten years down the road, not being able to see your children graduate. The only promise I can cling on to is that God will never leave me through any storm I face. He will be by my side for as long as choose to follow Him. He is all I have and all that I will ever need.
ReplyDeleteIf there was only one thing i could keep it would be nothing, things you get can be replaceable. In my opinion the people you care about is the greatest possession anybody could ever ask for.The people i care about aren't replaceable there something i treasure with all my heart.Getting a necklace, car, or a picture can never replace to me someone i care about.
ReplyDeleteI'm Anndee Mayo sorry I had to use Shaq's email for this.
ReplyDeleteIf I could save one item it would be my stuffed bear name "Bob". I have had the bear for a few years now and have never left it at my house while going on a trip or to a friends. He is a huge bear and I have always used him as my pillow since I have had it. I also have used him as a blanket. If I saved him I would use him as a pillow and as a blanket for the winter.
I am Shaq Alvarez. If I could save one item it would be my 2 plush robots my Gandfather gave me. I would save them because they remind me how my Grandfather was a nerd just like me.
ReplyDeleteIf I have to chose one item over all the rest it would not be easy but i have to say I would choose my ipod. It is not very much but the music on it can help me through any time. Music helps me relax in any situation no matter what is going on in my head or around me. It is the one thing i can do no matter what to clear my mind and help me calm down if I am in a bad spot or just not having the best day or even if i am it can just follow my mood and help me have fun. Music has been there for me for many things even when friends or family were not or even if they did not know my situation. It sends me into my own little world to clear my thoughts and actually think after a hard day of school, a bad day, a long night or any conflict or situation. Music means plenty to me, i could not live in a silent world.
ReplyDeleteIf i could choose one precios possession from being destroyed it would be my laptop. My laptop has lots of memories in it. From me when i was born to when me and my family went on vacation. I would also choose it because i use it partly for my entertainment.
ReplyDeleteIf I could save one thing it would be the clock my grandpa made me when I was younger. The reason I would save this clock is because when I'm overwhelmed or down I look at that clock and remember everything will be okay.
ReplyDelete(Jared Erwin)
ReplyDeleteIf I could only save one of my possessions from being destroyed, it would probably be my acoustic guitar. It is important to me because i've had it for as long as I can remember, and I got it from my godmother who lives very far away. I play it when I need to relax and get my mind off something, and I feel much better after the soothing isolation in my room with my guitar in hand.
If i had to choose one possession of mine to save during a tragedy it would be; well i would say family but family is not considered a possession because i do not own them they are an extension of me. So i guess the possession i would save would have to be my boromir lord of the rings super possible action figure. or my iron man blanket. the action figure is because i am a huge lord of the rings fan. I would choose choose the blanket because my girlfriend got it for me when we first stareted dating and i sleep with it every night.
ReplyDeleteTaa_7 - Who are you?
ReplyDeleteIf i could save only one thing I would save my pictures. They are like a window to the past and remind me where I come from. They allow me to look back and remember what I've done, where I've been and how things where back then. For the memories they help me remember I would make sure to take my pictures.
